HEI Schools Lara, a combination of Australian and Finnish early childhood education, is delivering high quality care to children from 6 weeks to 5 years old within an above-average, expansive space accommodating 131 children per day.
To foster children’s holistic growth, we create an all-rounded environment based on the latest scientific research by our founding partner - The University of Helsinki, Finland.
At HEI Schools Lara we believe that freedom of exploration and play are crucial to children’s development. We promote children’s curiosity, creativity and proactivity through daily routines and special events.

Ying Cheng
Centre Manager
My name is Ying Cheng and I am the Centre Manager for HEI Schools Lara Early Education Centre. I am a mother of two beautiful sons and I enjoy living and working in the friendly Lara community. I start as a Steiner Early Childhood Teacher and working in centre manager position for the past 8 years. I also have my Master in Counselling and professional training in play therapy. I have great passion for supporting children's holistic development especially socio-emotional competency, and empowering them to be who they are and able to be the change agent of the world in the future.
