Meet the Director

Kamaljit Kakyal

Centre Director

My name is Kamaljit Kakyal, you can call me Kami. I am extremely excited to join the HEI team as the Centre Director. I became a part of the HEI family in 2022 as a Lead Educator and assumed the role of Centre Assistant Director last year. It has been a remarkable journey since I joined the HEI family.

I moved to Australia almost 9 years ago to pursue Early Childhood Education and Care. Since 2016, I have been working as a childcare educator. My qualifications include a diploma in Early Childhood and Leadership and Management, a Bachelor of Arts in Painting and Fashion Designing, and a Masters in Painting.

In addition to my professional pursuits, I am blessed with a beautiful family, including my supportive husband and two lovely daughters.

I strongly believe that the primary goal of education is to guide individuals towards self-realization, enabling them to realize their full potential. Strong moral character, physical well-being and strength, and emotional and aesthetic richness should be the outcomes of a meaningful education.

As a caring and empathetic individual, I am committed to ensuring the happiness and support of my team, children, and families. HEI Waurn Ponds has a wonderfully supportive team, and I am looking forward to embarking on a beautiful journey for the children, staff, and families.
